This Privacy Policy explains how Raan ("we", "our", "the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application. Raan helps sugarcane farmers in Maharashtra manage their fields, get soil and weather insights, detect crop diseases, and access farm advisory and financial services.

By creating an account or using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide

• Mobile number — used to create your account and verify your identity via a one-time password (OTP).
• Name, email address (optional), district, village, and sugar factory registration number — collected during registration to personalize your farming advisory.
• Field details — crop type, field area, planting date, and field boundaries you draw or mark on the map.
• Soil and lab report data — details you enter manually or upload from soil testing reports.
• Photos — crop or leaf images you capture or upload for disease analysis, and any documents you attach to lab reports.

b) Information collected automatically

• Location data (GPS) — used to locate your fields, fetch local weather, and provide soil recommendations for your area. You can deny location access, but some features will be limited.
• Device and usage information — such as app version, device type, and general usage patterns, used to improve app performance.
• Push notification identifiers — used to send you crop stage reminders, weather alerts, and advisory notifications.

c) Payment information

If you use in-app payment features (such as subscriptions or loan/scheme related payments), your payment is processed directly by our payment partner, Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank account details on our servers — Razorpay handles this data under its own privacy and security policies.

• To create and authenticate your account (OTP-based login)
• To provide soil health, weather, yield prediction, and crop disease insights specific to your fields
• To generate and share soil/lab PDF reports that you request
• To process payments for subscriptions, schemes, or loan-related services via Razorpay
• To send you relevant notifications (irrigation reminders, weather alerts, advisory tips)
• To improve app features, fix issues, and understand how the app is used
• To show advertisements through Google AdMob (where enabled)

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with the third-party service providers listed above, to the extent necessary for them to perform their services, or where required by law.

Your account and field data are stored on secure cloud servers. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Choices and Rights

• You can review and update your profile information from within the app.
• You can disable location or camera permissions at any time from your device settings, though this may limit some features.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.

7. Children's Privacy

Raan is intended for use by farmers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the revised policy.
